This beautiful, hand-knitted jacket is a blend of alpaca wool (50%) and Sheep's wool (50%) with a lovely angled-zipper that begins on the left-side of the neck and slides down to the center of the jacket. The hood is removable and zippers on the wrists make for easier placement of mitts. The zipper up the backside is great for movability for fall or winter horsebackriding or biking. The jacket is rated to -20 degrees celsius but can easily be worn to +10 degrees celsius due to it's breathability. It has the ability to protect against mild to moderate wind; with strong wind, an added windbreaker is suggested. The natural oils in the wool help to repel water so light to moderate rain will not reach the inside. However, in the event of a huge sudden downpour, even when wet the wool will still keep you warm. The jacket is also quite good for snow.
